The dial is inspired by acrisp bright moonlit night – “tsukiyo” – after a warm autumnal day; the night is quiet except for the last of the chirping cricketsas the last of the summer ebbs away. ‘The Nature of Time’ theme features prominently in Grand Seiko watch designs – a Japanesespirituality where each moment is a unique expression unveiled through light and shadow. The watchmakers’ pride in theirsurroundings is represented from engineering watch movements which emulate the smooth motion of time passing, to creating dialsreflecting the beauty of Japanese nature.
